Caparo Vehicle Components, Inc., produces metal stampings, welded assemblies and e-coated components for OEMs and major Tier-1 suppliers. Body-in-white and chassis components are part of the current capability and are complemented with value-added proficiencies in projection, resistance and MIG welding, hot upset, toggle lock and spin riveting, adhesive bonding and in-house e-coating.
Headquarters is in Novi, Michigan (US).There are two manufacturing locations: Novi, Michigan (US) with 196,000 sq.ft. between 3 plants and San Luis Potosí, SLP (Mexico) with 40,000 sq.ft. San Luis Potosi is a new (2008) facility in Park Logistik in the Free Trade Zone in San Luis Potosí.
The operation, both ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 14001:2004 certified, includes 32 presses ranging in capacity from 45 tons to 1300 tons with competency in aluminum, stainless steel, and mild and high-strength steel.
Material gauge ranges from 0.5 mm to 8.0 mm. Additionally, there are over 60 weld and assembly cells to supply partially finished to completed assemblies. The Novi location has an on-site E-coat line.
Caparo Vehicle Components Inc is a base for expanding Caparo Vehicle Products in the North American market with further regional expansion plans for the Southeast US and Mexican markets.
