In 1995 Caparo Industries formed Caparo Engineering from their various smaller and medium sized engineering companies based in the West Midlands, England. This strategy gave these companies a critical mass without losing the focus of the individual companies.

Caparo Engineering has continued to develop and grow strongly and is reaping the benefits of its size and the cross fertilisation of ideas from the different subsidiaries and the adoption of best practices. The company continues to identify appropriate acquisitions in niche manufacturing.

Individual companies operate autonomously within Group guidance and the Caparo philosophy. All companies are highly service orientated seeking close partnerships with their customers.

They aim to be proactive, innovative and flexible. They are tightly run and seek to be a low cost producer within their industry. There is a commitment to develop continuously their products, service and people. Sales are now in excess of £85 million pa with 25% exported. All the manufacturing plants, with the exception of a forge in the North East of England and the fastening business in East Yorkshire, are in the Black Country region of the West Midlands, England. The company employs in excess of 800 people.

India – Caparo Engineering India Private Ltd (CEIPL)

Manufacturer of stampings and fasteners for the automotive and general engineering markets. The 120 acre Chennai site, which houses a forge, foundry, research and development centre and stampings facility, was inaugurated in October 2007.
