Caparo Materials Engineering (CME) is a grouping of specialist engineering companies providing customers with value added performance engineered solutions.
The division includes 11 businesses and their trading subsidiaries and focuses on highly engineered niche products and services. These range from carbon composites, performance car design consultancy and racing brake upgrades to super lightweight assemblies for aircraft engines. The CME companies serve a number of high profile multinationals in demanding industries such as aerospace, automotive, off-highway vehicles, oil, gas and energy, defence, marine, motorsport, railway, nuclear, scientific and many others.
Caparo Materials Engineering has three sub-divisions: Caparo Engineered Products, Caparo Forging and Caparo Vehicle Products.
Caparo Engineered Products (CEP)
The CEP companies focus on providing best-in-class engineered products and services for an array of highly specialised uses. Aerospace, automotive, nuclear, scientific, marine, construction and other applications, and institutions such as the MoD, CERN and NATO, benefit from these businesses' top-of-the-range engineering expertise. The companies included in this sub-division are: Caparo Accles and Pollock, Caparo Bridge Aluminium, Caparo Tube Components and CMT Engineering (Caparo Dynamics, Caparo Insulation, Caparo Clamps and CMT Tube Fittings).
Caparo Forging Europe (CFFE)
Caparo Forging is a grouping of three forging businesses that specialise in the supply of high quality forged, machined and fabricated components to a wide range of markets. With over 70 years of experience in the manufacture of high quality ferrous and non-ferrous forgings, Caparo Forging has built a solid reputation in its industry working with numerous well-known multinationals. It caters to the requirements of many industries, including heavy trucks, construction equipment, oil, gas and energy, material handling, railway, agriculture and forestry, shipbuilding, cars and light vehicles, defence, aerospace and general engineering.
Caparo Vehicle Products (CVP)
The sub-division is a grouping of innovative and well established Tier 1 and 2 companies, situated mostly in the West Midlands. It specialises in component design, engineering and manufacturing of solutions primarily for the automotive industry. CVP can also offers prototyping and sample development, as well as series production and line side delivery of a wide range of parts and assemblies.
