In 1968 Lord Paul started Caparo with one small factory in Huntingdon. Over 40 years later it has grown into a circa 1bn Euro business employing over 9,000 people worldwide.
Caparo today a fast growing global association of businesses, encompassing over 50 companies operating at more than 70 sites across the UK, Europe, North America, Asia, the Far and the Middle East. With interests mainly in the design, manufacture and marketing of steel, automotive and general engineering products, Caparo's wider activities encompass new product development, investment, materials testing, media, hotels, furniture, interior design, energy and medical products. And Caparo is still growing - in 2006 alone it acquired 22 companies.

Company Focus - Caparo Tubes India
In the span of two and a half years since its acquisition in 2006, Caparo Tubes (Dewas) has been transformed totally. The entire equipment and site have undergone major refurbishment, which has had a significant impact on the company’s product range and quality. In order to increase the size capability of the plant to four inches a tube mill from the United Kingdom was installed which allowed the business to expand its tube range from 82mm to 101 mm diameter. In addition, the company has also adopted fully the Caparo manufacturing principles and the Caparo culture. With impressive accreditations and a number of high profile clients already gained, the business is currently reaping the rewards of its hard work and dedication.
