In 1995 Caparo Industries formed Caparo Engineering from their various smaller and medium sized engineering companies based in the West Midlands, England. This strategy gave these companies a critical mass without losing the focus of the individual companies.
Individual companies operate autonomously within Group guidance and the Caparo philosophy. All companies are highly service orientated seeking close partnerships with their customers.
They aim to be proactive, innovative and flexible. They are tightly run and seek to be a low cost producer within their industry. There is a commitment to develop continuously their products, service and people.
The majority of the manufacturing plants, with the exception of a forges in the North East of England and Poland, are in the Black Country region of the West Midlands, England.
Product Focus - Castings
A full range of casting processes are offered by Caparo Aluminium, a group of companies with the rare ability of being able to convert an initial idea through design and prototyping to volume production. Processes include horizontal and low pressure sand, gravity die and high pressure die casting, all supported by computer simulation, pattern making, in-house CNC machining and assembly. Caparo Aluminium is already the leading UK aluminium sand and gravity die caster accounting for 50% of UK output.
